Music

So Thursday is kind of a big deal for me.  For those of you who know me, I've been playing guitar for something like seven or eight years now.  I write my own stuff and have played some of it for some friends and such but never on any type of scale.  This thursday I will be playing at the Wesley Foundation's coffeehouse.  It's pretty exciting but I'm incredibly nervous...It shouldn't bother me at all but for some reason right before a performance I start doubting myself.

The enemy has an obvious leg up on us.  He is crafty and, unfortunately, knows how to push us in the directions we don't need to be going in.  However, this summer my boss told me something that made a lot of sense.  The enemy's only real power is the power to convince us that he has more power than he really has.  So I guess the important thing is to try to remember that...

Am I still nervous?  Heck yea....But I'm hopeful...and I know that God wants me to use my music to worship him so that is what I'll continue doing....

In Christ,
Josh Mc.
